Jewellery Quarter Summer Festival to run in July

The British Jewellery and Giftware International association (BJGI) has announced plans to work with the Jewellery Quarter Business Improvement District (JQBID) to organise the Jewellery Quarter Summer Festival, which is due to take place on 23 July 2022.

The festival will feature a handmade market showcasing West Midlands-based designers, makers and independent brands, which The National Association of Jewellers (NAJ) has called “a great opportunity to showcase some of our industry brands”.

The BJGI and the JQBID are calling for attendees to join the festival to display fine skills and connect with thousands of attendees visiting the very popular JQ Summer Festival”. They are reportedly seeking a mix of handmade products, “from homestyle to fashion, accessories to wellness, where visitors can explore a beautiful mix of creativity”.

Applications are currently open for West Midlands-based designers, makers and independent brands to apply to exhibit at Jewellery Quarter’s Handmade Market on 23 July 2022, 11am-4pm. Each company will be allocated a standard size trestle table covered by a gazebo and the deadline for applications is Friday 17 June at 12pm.

BJGI has taken a stall at the festival to showcase member products and sell on their behalf, which is “a great opportunity for businesses all over the country who can’t take the time out to travel and man a stall for the day”, and it is calling for products to be sent to it and sold on the designers’ behalf.

However, due to the size of the stall, a maximum of 10 companies can be accepted “at this stage”, with each company being able to send up to 10 product lines, depending on the size of the products.
